This blog exists to describe my birding and natural history adventures in the Continent of Asia from 2024 and beyond! I have already done some birding in Indonesia, Malaysia [including Bornean states of Sarawak and Sabah], Singapore, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, India, Nepal, China, Taiwan and a very short time in South Korea. I have planned in 2024 a trip to Bali & Java in Indonesia, while in 2025 a tour to India and, later that same year, to Sulawesi and Halmahera, in Indonesia.

Indian Birding on a non birding family holiday #1
My family - Megan, myself, Matt, Millie and Tom plus our Swiss daughter, Marion - had a three week tour in India before the start of my birding tour.
Naturally despite my best efforts I could not ignore the nature.
First, after Delhi, we visited Jaisalmer, in the west of Rajasthan where we stayed in the fort before having a three day camel trek.
